Why I’m starting this blog
I’m starting this blog to reverse my life-long trend of making bad financial decisions. So far, I’m not doing well in the financial arena, even though I feel like I should be doing alright. Some of my decisions are where I just sit and there and do the wrong thing. Some of my decisions are where I just sat there and did nothing, and the decision (or action) was made for me. Some of my decisions didn’t work out like I had hoped. But, as part of my new year’s resolution, I’m going to join the ranks of the personal finance blogers out there, and try to get better at handling my money situation.
Finance and money is just one area of my life that I want to get better at, though. I want to get in better shape. I want to be a healthier person. I want to improve many, many things in my life. I’ve been reading finance, or self-improvement, blogs for a while now, and a bunch of them say that keeping a blog about their struggles actually helped them out. Now, I want to have that same feeling. I want the accountability having a blog will bring. I think I have some good thoughts on what I should I do, but I find myself not following through on my plans. I hope blogging will make me follow through and complete some improvements on myself. All these thoughts have gotten me to the point where I tell myself that I need to just start, and once I start, keep going in the right direction, which is where the name of the blog comes from.
